It thus appears that the real reason Linda Ikeji have been having a running battle with some guys who claimed she plagiarized her work is not only or really about plagiarism.

After several days of the issue dominating discussion, Google decided to shut down Linda Ikeji Blog, hosted on Google owned Blogger platform. Thankfully, it was restored late Thursday evening.

No doubt, Linda Ikeji broke the rules as far as plagiarism is concerned and the guys who are out for her have every right to take the action they took, but everything now seems to point to the fact that there is an underlying motive behind that action.

The blog publisher, Ms. Linda Ikeji, rated amongst Nigeria’s most influential young women and one of the most successful online entrepreneurs in Nigeria admitted in a new article she published on Thursday evening that she may have erred by plagiarizing the work of others, an act she said she is sorry for.

But what was more revealing in her article is the fact that what has been happening according to her wasn’t really about beef or the fact that she showed of her SUV. It wasn’t also about plagiarism or copyright infringement, but something deeper, more personal and may be even dangerous.
