The Minority leader of the Gombe State House of Assembly Ahmed Usman Haruna defected from the All Progressives Congress APC to People’s Democratic Party PDP.
Alhaji Haruna who is representing Gombe North Constituency announced his defection before the floor of the House, alleging that his former party APC attempted to blackmail his personality by suspending him from the party.
Alhaji Haruna said, he laid the complaint to the headquarters of the party but no response by the party leadership.
Responding, the Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Nasiru Abubakar Nono welcomed the defector into the People’s Democratic Party and assured support from members of the PDP of the Assembly.
