Dr. Osagie E. Ehanire, a surgeon, who hails from Edo State, attended Government College Ibadan to HSC level and graduated MD in Medicine from Germany’s prestigious Ludwig Maximillians Unversity of Munich. He had post graduate education at Teaching Hospitals of the Universities of Dusseldorf and Essen and at the BG Accident Hospital in Duisburg, Germany and got his diploma in Anaesthesiology from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. His Board Certification in both General Surgery and Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery was at the Medical Board of North Rhine in Dusseldorf, Germany. Dr Ehanire is also a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons.
He was Senior Registrar at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Divisional Consultant Surgeon, Shell Petroleum Development Company Hospital, Clinical Instructor, Fracture Internal Fixation course, BG Accident Hospital Duisburg, Germany. He is a contributor to the orthopaedic book: “The severely Injured Limb”, edited by John Ackroyd
Dr. Ehanire served on Medical review Boards within and outside Nigeria, was a member of the defunct Bendel and Edo State Hospitals Management Boards, and is currently a Trustee of TYDanjuma Foundation, Chair of the Board’s Programmes, Grants and Policy Committee.
He was appointed as a Congress for Progressive Change, CPC delegate to the political merger conference that gave birth to the All Progressives Congress and was Edo State coordinator of Buhari Campaign Organization, where he, among others, urged Nigerians to disregard insinuations that All Progressives Congress, APC, standard bearer Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (trd) will islamize the country if elected president in the March election.
