Marwa, Gundiri Moves to Stop Nyako from Controlling APC Structure in Adamawa
The bid by the governor of Adamawa state, Rear Admiral Murtala Nyako to take over the structure of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa state has ran into murky waters as two former gubernatorial aspirants in Adamawa State, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (rtd) of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Mr. Markus Gundiri of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) move to stop the governor.
Nyako had recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC with the intent of controlling the structure of the party in the state as may have been agreed with the party’s national leadership prior to his defection.
But Buba Marwa and Markus Gundiri, who are key stakeholders in the Adamawa APC are against the governor taking over control of the party structure in the state.
The two had planned a press conference intended to inform the leadership of the APC that they would not allow Governor Murtala Nyako to take over the structure of party as its leader, but the interim national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) headed by Chief Bisi Akande has halted the planned press conference by the two former gubernatorial aspirants.

Another source added that Marwa and Gundiri were having difficulties agreeing on who should be the leader of the alliance between the duo as a result, news reached the headquarters of the party and so they were advised to stop the conference not to cause division in the party in the state.
But Nyako has urged the two major politicians of APC in the state to align with him in building a vibrant and formidable party that will bring hope to the residence of the state.
Nyako, who reacted to the power squabble in the APC because of his defection to the party, urged them to sheath their swords because there was no need for bickering at the particular moment when the AP
