MAN CITY SET TO CLINCH EPL TITLE
Manchester City football club this afternoon came close to winning the Premier League title for the first time in 44 years after a crucial 2-0 win at Newcastle.
Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure struck twice in the second half of the game to keep Premier League leaders, City ahead of second-placed Manchester United on goal difference. Manchester United who played Swansea FC same day defeated the club 2 -0 at the Old Trafford.
Although Newcastle with an eye on a place in next season’s Champions League frustrated city for a long time on the pitch, Toure’s goal dampened that hope and may cost them a place in the Champions league.
City only need to win the game left of this seasons to carry home the coveted cup.
