Lagos RRS Boss Cautions Nigerians Against Used Cars And Phones
The Commander of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS has challenged Nigerians to desist from purchasing used phones and cars from foreign countries as a lot of them might have been used for criminal activities in the Countries from which they were brought into Nigeria.
The RRS boss, Tunji Disu stated this during a lecture at the convention of the Guild of Muslim Professional which took place in Peninsular Resort, Ajah, Lagos where participants were also charged to be more security conscious.
“The easiest way to end in the Nigerian prison is to buy used Phones. Through our findings, we realised that a lot of these phones were used by their initial owners to commit Crime and during the course of investigating of the crime, the next user of the item faces the wrath of the law.
“There have been cases where people travelled out of Nigeria and the used phones they bought landed them in trouble. As they get into the foreign Country, they get an alert that a criminal has arrived which makes the law enforcement agent arrest them just for buying a phone that has been used for criminal activities in the past,”he said.
