Lagos Primaries: The Will Of The People Must Be Respected, Says Buhari, Osinbajo
After multiple briefings and monitoring of the elections in Lagos, President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo has advised the leadership of the party to stand with the people and not any interest.
President Buhari was said to have requested for periodic briefings through out the day yesterday and at a point invited the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole to brief him on the Lagos and other primaries held across the country.
The Vice President also received periodic briefings and stayed glued to his television set. Vice President Osinbajo a Lagosian sources revealed advised the national chairman not to ignore the fact that Lagos APC members trooped out in hundreds and thousands to vote. He maintained that it is important not to ignore the people.
APC NWC led by Clement Ebri insisted that only a secret ballot voting system will be recognised in the primary between incumbent Lagos governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and contender Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

According to a source close to the Presidency, “Osinbajo is calling on State and National APC leaders to work together and ensure that the voting in Lagos should be honored as long as it is free and fair.
