Ladies and Gentlemen: That Obasanjo’s Letter Vol. 1 by Christopher O. Okagbare
Obasanjo in all ramifications should not be trusted, but that does not suggest the details of the letter should be ignored, most especially the “1000 Political Watch list” story, I must confess that one is so disturbing.
More disturbing is the disappearing 50Billion “Petro-Dollars” the NNPC is yet to give account of its where about, giving cognizance to the fact that the CBN has accepted the fact that the said letter is authenticated thus raising more questions to be answered.
Yesterday’s revelation at the monthly Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting by Timothy Odah from Ebonyi State has further crisscrossed the puzzle. Making it a reality that Nigeria has plunged into the biggest corruption case of all times, many wonders if they really get scared by these figures and what they intend doing with the loots.
There is no doubt that this serial looting will continue for a long time to come even as the duties of our so called anti-graft agencies are limited to witch-hunting and shielding government loyalists.
The judiciary has been Transformed and Reformed with a sole duty of up-turning convicts into saints in Nigeria.
Hate me or not; we are all in for this. Abacha’s atrocities was just a tip of the ice-berg, allowing 8Trillion Naira to disappear under our watch is unspeakable.
Stella Oduah was not guilty afterall, many wonder the essence and need for setting up committees if the reports will be carpeted as usual.
Nuhu Ribadu owes himself an apology for daring to waste his intellect and time investigating the corruption that has engulfed our oil sector.
Our leaders may not be our problem, but their SYCOPHANTS and STOOGES who will as usual come out to defend and wipe their mess.
The 2Trillion Naira Subsidy metamorphosis is yet unexplained. At this point i dare VP Namadi Sambo to convene his monthly National Economic Council (NEC) meeting and see how embarrassed he will be.
Nigeria is Broke and we all know this, why not make us understand this trend politely instead of the swindling us unnecessarily.
No we are not fools, and we refuse to be hoodwinked.
On a final note; this is about Nigeria and not about a particular individual or political party.
Jonathanians Take Note.
