Kwara PDP Implements Party Headquarters Directive, Denies Releasing Statement On Toyin Saraki
Barely 24 hours after the national headquarters of the People Democratic Party (PDP), directed it’s Kwara State chapter to disclaim it’s statement claiming responsibility for the petition that led to the invitation of Toyin Saraki, a former first lady of Kwara State and wife of Senate President Saraki, the party has carried out the directive denying the statement.
The Kwara PDP had on Sunday sent a statement to media house including Abusidiqu, claiming it was the petition it (PDP) sent to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in the early part of 2015 that led to the invitation of the Mrs. Saraki by the anti-graft agency.

In the statement, the Publicity secretary party in Kwara State, Rex Olawoye said that some higher placed individuals including Mrs. Saraki, during the tenure of Bukola Saraki as governor of Kwara ?state formed a ring through which they milked the state dry.
Mr. Olawoye added that the. Monumental fraud perpetrated in the state during the Saraki’s tenure forced it to petition the EFCC, the result of which was the invitation of Toyin Saraki by the commission.
But few hours after the statement was widely published, the national headquarters of the ?PDP directed the state chapter to deny issuing the statement.

The plot by the PDP according to a highly placed source is to throw more spanners in the wheel of the All Progressives Congress (APC), so as to benefit ?from the crisis brought about by the leadership tussle in the National Assembly.
In compliance with the directive, the Kwara PDP on Monday condemned what he described as an allegation that it initiated t?he invitation of the wife of the Senate President, Mrs Oluwa Toyin Saraki by EFCC.
T?he PDP Publicity Secretary of the party in Kwara, Mr Rex Olawoye made this condemnation in llorin while speaking with newsmen.
?He described the allegation which was credited to him as b?aseless and plans of desperate and dubious individuals who aimed at tarnishing the party image.
?Olawoye condemned t?he story tagged “PDP Petition Led to Toyin Saraki’s Arrest”, adding t?hat the story was fabricated by unknown people.
T?he Party spokes person explained that the party never written any petition to E?FCC against Toyin saraki?.
The denial is notwithstanding the fact that the statement was sent through the usual channel Olawoye had used in sending previous statements which he has never denied.
