Kwara Govt Approves Dualisation Of Roads, Implementation of Palliatives For Communal Clash Victims
The Kwara State Executive Council has approved new contract for the dualisation of some road projects in the state.
A statement by Muideen Akorede, Special Assistant to the Governor said the decision was taken at the meeting of the council presided by the State governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed on Wednesday.
According to Akorede, road projects approved for dualisation by the State Executive Council includes the Ita Alamu-Ganmo Junction Rd, as well as the Kulende-UITH-Oke-Ose Road.
Both roads are federal road under the exclusive control of the Federal Government, but the state government has decided to fix the road the ameliorate sufferings by the people.
The Council also approved the construction of Geri-Alimi Split Diamond Interchange to ease peak-time congestion in the axis, while the phased migration to Contributory Pension for post 1987 Civil Servants in the state was alsonapproved.
The clashes between share and Tsaragi communities in the state also got the attention of the council as approval was giving for the consolidation of previous reports on the clashes, while palliatives for victims in Edu & Ifelodun Local Govt Council was also approved for implementation.
