The Deputy Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Mathew Okedare has urged the newly appointed Head of Service (HoS), Mrs Susan Modupe Oluwole to bring to bare her wealth of experience to further improve the state civil service.
Okedare who gave the charge in a statement he personally signed to congratulate the appointee on Thursday, said without any iota of doubt, Oluwole deserved the appointment.
He described the new Head of Service as a round peg in a round hole having served in various capacities and until her appointment was Permanent Secretary in charge of service welfare.
He further said that her track record in the civil service over the years shows that Oluwole merited the position and indeed worthy to be saddled with such responsibilities.
The lawmaker charged the new HoS not to compromise or engage in activities that would tarnish her image and her local government.
The deputy speaker thanked Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for deeming it fit to appoint an indigene of Jebba to succeed Mrs Zara Omar who recently retired from the service, saying that the Jebba town and Moro Local Government Area appreciate the gesture.
Okedare thanked the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and other various stakeholders who contributed positively to ensure the appointment came into reality.
