Korea Govt Donates $500,000 To Displaced Persons In Nigeria
The Republic of Korea has donated 500,000 US Dollars to internally displaced persons in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States, northeast Nigeria.
The fund is to providing one month of food assistance for about 125,000 IDPs in the North East region of the country.
The Korean Ambassador to Nigeria Major General (Rtd) In-tae Lee, said Korean Government has been making efforts to address the needs of vulnerable people, which was why they are supporting internally displaced persons in Nigeria.
“The Korean Government has been making unwavering efforts to address the needs of the most vulnerable people and I’m glad that we are endowing Nigeria with the total sum of US$2.5 million, including our recent contribution to WFP,” the Ambassador said.
He said Korea stands ready to fight against malnutrition and poverty, joining hands with the people of Nigeria.
