Kogi Guber: Gov Wada Desperate For Re-election
It has been learnt that the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris Wada is leaving no stone unturned in his bid for re-election. This much was disclosed by a source who pleaded anonymity that the governor has been in Abuja trying to reach out to the National Organising Secretary (NOS) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The source added that “it has been from one move to another in trying to seek audience with the National Organising Secretary.
The NOS rebuffed all entreaties from the governor and his associates at the initial stage, but after the pressure became much, the NOS agreed to have audience with the governor in Kogi Governors Lodge in Asokoro in Abuja”
Another source in the know of the moves by the governor mentioned that “the governor drove to the house of the NOS at about 12am yesterday and they both drove to the Kogi State governors Lodge in Abuja.”
He further added that the governor presented to the NOS a list of delegates that he wants accredited for the primaries.”
The NOS it was learnt expressed reservations about the request of the governor and the governor was quick to mention that he has lost faith in the committee that would conduct the ward congress to elect delegates for the primaries. Though the discussion dragged till the early hours of the morning, our source could not tell whether the NOS gave his commitment to the governor.
