Kogi To Boost Healthcare Delivery As Exco Approves Massive Recruitment In The Sector

In his continous effort to upgrade Health care delivery in Kogi State, The Hon. Commissioner for Health Dr Saka Haruna Audu, has secured approval from the State Executive Council (SEC) to Employ staff to fill the alarming gap in all spheres of the State’s Health sector.
The Chairman of the SEC, His Excellency, Alh. YAHAYA BELLO, the Executive Governor, Kogi State, aproved the sum of Two Billion, one hundred and forty four million, two hundred and twenty eight thousand , seven hundred and thirty two naira five kobo (#2,144,228,732.5) for the employment.
Under the leadership of our Amiable Governor, a situation whereby Hospitals are built without adequate manpower as was the norm in previous administrations is no longer acceptable. The manpower gap in some hospitals is perilous, and to this administration, the health of every Kogite is premium.

The massive recruitment in the Health Sector which will see the employment of *52 Medical consultants* also includes the following cadres of health professionals/workers:

Staff nurses/midwives
Medical record officers
Record technicians
Pharmacy tutors
Science teachers
