The federal government has assured people of Kaduna State of adequate security and protection of lives and property.
Minister of Interior, Alhaji Abdulrahman Danbazau gave this assurance when he visited Governor Nasiru Elrufai at the Government House in Kaduna.
The Minister who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Mohammed Bello Umar said the team was in Kaduna to assess the security situation and interact with communities affected by the crisis.
Alhaji Danbazau maintained that government was doing its best to guarantee peace and restore normalcy.
He commended the effort of security agencies towards restoring calm and upholding peace and harmony in the state.
Danbazau also commended Governor El-Rufai for taking prompt measures to curtail the crisis before it escalated beyond control.
The minister was also accompanied by the state deputy governor and heads of various security agencies round some areas affected by the crisis.
