Kaduna Crisis: CAN Commends El-Rufai Over Review Of Curfew
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has applauded Kaduna State government over the review of the curfew time in the state.
CAN President, Samson Ayokunle Olasupo, in a statement issued on Sunday, also restated his earlier position that current security chiefs should be replaced.
He also demanded the implementation White Papers on previous ethno-religious uprisings as well as trial of those apprehended for previous killings in Southern Kaduna, and prosecution of those responsible for the unending killings in Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa and Taraba states.
He suggested that adequate compensations be paid to the bereaved and other victims of the ethno-religious conflicts in the last five years.
“Government should also recover lands and villages illegally occupied by the hoodlums and criminals in the North Central for peace to reign.”
Recall that recent violence broke out in Kaduna State which, so far, had claimed many lives including a paramount ruler, the Agom Adara, Dr. Maiwada Raphael Galadima, and property worth millions of Naira had been destroyed.
