Kabo Air Plane With Saudi Bound Pasengers Makes Emergency Landing In Sokoto
A Saudi bound Boeing 747 jumbo jet which left Kano on Friday en route to Saudi Arabia averted crash midair as it to diverted to Sokoto to make an emergency landing after several of its tyres exploded immediately after it took off the Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano.
The plane carrying 400 passengers intending to perform the hajj exercise in Saudi Arabia had all its passengers evacuated immediately upon landed and were lodged in a hotel in the ancient city.
The incident is happening on the heels of the crash of an Embraer aircraft belonging to Associated Airlines with registration number 5N-BIT which plunged to the ground in Lagos shortly after take-off from the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
The 30-seater aircraft, which had 20 passengers including seven crew members on board, crashed about 9:30am killing 13
