A federal high court sitting in Abuja has  nullified the suspension of Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ovie Omo-Agege, and declared it as unconstitutional.

The trial Judge, justice Nnamdi Dimgba, in his ruling, also ordered that all the senator’s outstanding allowances should be accorded him.

Recall that the Senate on April 12, suspended Omo-Agege for 90 legislative days for allegedly insinuating that the amendment to the Electoral act by the red chamber was targeted at President Muhammadu Buhari.

The report by the Committee on Ethics and Privileges which was considered at the plenary, had found the lawmaker guilty despite his apology to the chamber.

Omo Agege was also accused of sending hoodlums to steal the mace, the symbol of authority of the Nigerian legislature.
