Jonathan Reward Underserving Friends and Cronies With National Honours [See List]
By Fejiro Oliver
Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan has continued with the rituals of rewarding his friends, dubious business men and non-performing Ministers with the stinking award of National Honours.
The annual ritual which takes place in Abuja was initiated to reward deserving Nigerians, but past President like Olusegun Obasanjo which has now included Jonathan turned in to an avenue of crowning corrupt friends, wards and cronies.
In the 2013/2014 award, top on the list is the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshall Alex Sabundu Badeh, under whose watch the infidels called Boko Haram turned Nigeria to a theatre of bombing. For his incompetence, he will be rewarded with the third highest honor in the land, Commander of the Federal Republic (CFR), alongside all Chief of Army, Navy and Air staffs.
The National Security Adviser, Mohammed Sambo Dasuki, who Nigerians have recommended his sack over his failure to combat the insurgence, will be smiling home with the CFR also; Jimoh Ibrahim, who is an astute businessmen, but accused of fraud many times. Tom Ikimi who just returned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was also given an award of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON); which many say is to say ‘welcome’, while the man who looted Rivers State silly, Peter Odili bagged the CON.
Typical of Jonathan’s administration, eight governors and nine ministers who have not added value to the lives of the people were also patted on the back with CON. Worst of all was the inclusion of Nyesom Wike, the Aso Rock House boy who has been used to destabilized Rivers State.
