I’m Happy With Outcome Of APC Presidential Primary – Kwankwaso
Kano State governor and the first runner-up in the APC presidential primary election, Rabiu Kwankwaso said he is happy with the outcome of the elections considering that he campaigned for only two months before the primaries.
In an interview with newsmen in Kano, Kwankwaso congratulated General Muhammadu Buhari for his success at the election and described him as a well-known personality with a good political network that traverses the country.
According to him, his party, the APC has shown political strength and its belief in internal democracy where all aspirants were given equal opportunity to contest and has yielded positive result as he became known across the country and beyond.
Governor Kwankwaso pledged to work with General Buhari in ensuring that he defeats PDP at the general election and would continue to support his government if elected the president of Nigeria.
He assured that none of the party members would defect to any party because of the belief that General Buhari is a full-fledge, wiser and experienced politician who will respect every delegate and every member of APC and Nigerians in general.
Kwankwaso said, “I read it in the national dailies that my colleague governors and former friends were supporting Buhari. This made me to laugh and laugh again, considering that for those who didn’t know my relationship with Buhari are the people causing harm to themselves.
“They should know that General Buhari has told the whole world last three days on Aljazeera Television that if he is to pick any presidential candidate after himself, he will go for Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.”
