IGP Approves Establishment Of More Police Formations

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris has approved the establishment of three new area commands and five new police divisions in Ilorin, the  Kwara State capital, to further boost security activities.

The new area command offices will be cited at Oja Oba, Surulere and Kulende while the new police divisions would be located at Seriki Kaun, Shao Garage, Hajj Camp, Oke Foma, Pakata, Gaa Akanbi and Jimba Oja.

The Inspector General of Police disclosed this on Friday in Ilorin at the foundation laying ceremony of the Nigeria Police School Public Relations, Kulende.

The Police Force Public Relations Officer, DSP Jimoh Moshood made the announcement of the new police formations at the event on behalf of the police boss.

He said the police hierarchy under the Inspector General of Police leadership is working round the clock to protect the lives and properties of all innocent citizens and appealed to Nigerians to continue to be law abiding.
