IDPs Return To Their Communities In Zamfara
Over five thousand internally displaced persons, IDPs, have returned to their communities from where they are taking refuge in Zurmi local government area of Zamfara state.
The outgoing Force Commander, Operation Saharan Daji Major General Mohammed Mohammed has said this during the symbolic handing over of the Force command, Operation Sharan Daji to Major General Stevenson Olabanji.
General Mohammed said the command was making effort to ensure speedy stabilization of communities in Shinkafi to ensure the movement of IDPs to Galadi general area.
He said operations Saharan Daji was mandated to eliminate armed banditry, kidnappings, and cattle rustling.
The incoming Force commander, Operation Saharan Daji Major General Stevenson Olabanji said the army would collaborate with other sister agencies to bring an end to all criminal activities in the state.
