Hunters Slaughter Over 70 Boko Haram Members in Madagali, Michika
Local hunters in Michika and Madagali local government areas of Adamawa state have reportedly killed no less than 75 members of the outlawed Boko Haram insurgents after a ferce fighting between the sect members and the military.
The fierce fighting between Nigerian troops and the sect to reclaim Michika had seen the son of former president Olusegun Obasanjo, Lt Col Adeboye shot on Monday, when troops launched an offensive on Sunday night against Boko Haram insurgents in their bid to recapture Michika in Adamawa State.
But the insurgents which had taken control of the two local government areas of the state and parts of Borno State were reported to have ran short of ammunitions, a situation which left them unprotected.
A source in the area said that on discovering that the insurgents were dearth of ammunition, the local hunters pounced on them and started killing them.
He said normalcy has begun to return in the affected areas as Nigerian Soldiers have recovered the local government areas from the insurgents.
