The Federal House of Representatives is set to investigate the total amount of money recovered as Abacha loot from 1998 to date.
The committee is also mandated to establish the sources of the recovery and how it was utilized. It is also to identify all agreement entered into and established and if such agreements are binding under Nigerian law.
The lawmakers have also asked the executive arm of government to pay into the consolidated revenue fund the 322 million dollars released by the government of Switzerland, which will be distributed to the federating units in line with the current revenue sharing formula.
