Hospital For Humanity To Conduct Open Heart Surgey On 200 Children In Nigeria

Hospital for Humanity, a non-profit organization registered in Nigeria and the United States will from the 13th to 20th of November commence an open heart surgery for children and youths across the country.

The organisation which has been running Paediatric Cardiothoracic Surgical Initiative (PCTSI) in Nigeria for the last few years and has carried out life-saving heart surgery on 40 children in partnership with National Hospital Abuja
and Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) will bring in an international team of cardio-surgeons

and other medical personnel from the United States, the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
HFH seeks to help 200 children and youth in Nigeria with heart defects in 2016 who urgently need this life-saving surgery.
The surgery will be conducted at the National Hospital in Abuja from 13-20 November.
As part of activities lined up for the one week surgery, HFH will hold a media fundraiser to mobilise the public in its planned fundraising drive towards the surgery.
The media event which is scheduled to take place at the 3rd Floor of the National Trauma Centre, National Hospital in Abuja on Thursday, 17 November is expected to discuss the possibilities, challenges and opportunities for saving the lives of children with congenital heart defects in Nigeria.
HRH therefore invites all Nigerians to the press briefing which will be attended by the doctors arriving Nigerian from the United State and The United Kingdom.
