Group Endorses Maku For Nasarawa Governor
A Socio-Cultural Group, Eggon Cultural and Development Association in Nasarawa state has endorsed the governorship ambition of Former Minister of Information Mr Labaran Maku.
Nasarawa South Zonal Chairman of the Association Mr Ali Mada stated this at a meeting in Lafia.
Mr Ali Mada said their decision to endorse Mr Labaran Maku to contest for the governorship of Nasarawa state followed his rich records of achievement, sincerity, dedication and selfless service which have made him stand out among the other aspirants.
According to him, though the association is not a political group, their decision was borne out of the dire need of a purposeful leadership that will explore diverse ways towards economic empowerment of the state.
National President, Eggon Youth Movement Mr Daniel Yaro described Mr Labaran Maku as the new hope for Nasarawa state in view of his experience in governance.
He called on the people of the state to vote out leaders whose preoccupation is to foment trouble among the diverse ethnic groups in the state for their selfish interests.
The Former Minister of Information Mr Labaran Maku expressed gratitude to the group for their endorsement, calling on youths to take their destiny in their by participating actively in the electoral process devoid of thuggery and violence.
Mr Labaran Maku promised to entrench accountability and transparency in governance if elected governor of Nasarawa state in the twenty nineteen elections.
The Former Minister of Information Mr Labaran Maku is contesting for the governorship of Nasarawa state on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA.
