Governor Kwankwaso’s Father Attacked in Kano
Alhaji Musa Kwankwaso, the father of Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, yesterday escaped an attack carried out by some unknown gunmen in Kano State.
The incident happened at about 7:30pm in Kwankwaso town, the governor’s hometown in Madobi local government area of the state.
According to an eyewitness, the governor’s father who holds the traditional title of Maji Dadin Kano and District Head of Madubi and some other Muslim faithful were coming from the mosque after their Isha’i prayers when the attackers struck.
It took the intervention of the police to foiled the attempt by kidnap Kwankwaso’s father, but three policemen were said to have died during the shootout between policemen guarding the governor’s father and the gunmen.
