Governor Danbaba Suntai Reportedly Flown Abroad for Further Treatment
Just as he was advised by the Taraba state House of Assembly, after confirming that he is not fit to rule the state, Taraba state governor, reports reaching Abusidiqu.com indicates that Governor Danbaba Suntai of Taraba state may have been flown abroad for further treatment.
The House of assembly had on a visit to him on Wednesday resolved that the governor returns to the United State to further his treatment and passed a resolution asking the deputy, Garba Umar to continue to serve in the capacity as acting governor.
Suntai was reportedly flown out Friday and was accompanied on this trip by his wife, Hajiya Hauwa Suntai .It was however not immediately clear whether he was flown back to the United States or Germany.
His return abroad represents mission unaccomplished for those who brought him back in spite of his illness to continue to hold the state to ransome. But sources in Taraba said nobody is celebrating the fact that Suntai has to return for treatment. “Look, he is still our governor, we are not happy that that he is not well yet” an insider said.
Suntai was actually brought back to Nigeria to achieve some set out objectives by his loyalists even when he is yet to recover and still undergoing medical rehabilitation in the US.
The cabal responsible for his return had allegedly written a forged letter to the state House of Assembly asking that he be allowed to resume work. A day after the letter was transmitted to the house, they announced the disoolution of the state cabinet and appointment a new Chief of staff and Secretary to the State Govt, but his inability to recognize leaders of the Assembly and others earlier this week when they finally gained access to him made the Speaker and other officials to weep. The house eventually decided that he was unfit to return as governor.
