Gov Shettima, Others In Crucial Meeting With President Jonathan Over Abducted School Girls
President Goodluck Jonathan is currently in a crucial meeting with Borno State Governor Kassim Shettima over the abduction by Boko Haram insurgents, of over 200 schoolgirls of Chibok.
Also present at the meeting is the Borno State Commissioner for Education and the principal of the Government Girls Secondary School Chibok, where the girls were abducted.
The meeting is being held at the First Lady’s wing of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Nigerian government had come under heavy criticism for its handling of the rescue effort since the girls who range in age from 16 to 18, were abducted from their boarding school in Chibok.
Protests have been held in various cities across the country and even overseas.
