Gov Obiano Swears In 19 Commissioners
Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has sworn in 19 Commissioners and 11 Special Advisers to serve in the second term of his administration.
Out of the total 19 Commissioners that were sworn in, 8 served in the first term while the remaining 11 were new additions to the state executive Council.
While some took over from the out gone ones, others had newly created Ministries assigned to them.
Notable among the new commissioners were the Commissioner for Environment and Beautification, Arch Mike Okoonkwo, his Information and Public Enlightenment Counterpart, Mr CDon Adinuba, the 32-year old commissioner for youths entrepreneurship and sports development, Mr Bonaventure Enemali among others.
The Oaths of Allegiance and Office were administered on the new appointees on behalf of the governor by a Deputy Director in the State Ministry of Justice, Mrs Nnedi Okechukwu representing the Solicitor General of the State.
Swearing in the Commissioners and Special Advisers, Governor Obiano congratulated them for being selected to serve the state, reminding them that so much is expected from them in making the next four years of his administration glorious.
“May I congratulate you on your new assignment to serve the state. I want you to count yourself lucky to be chosen to help build a new Anambra State. You are expected to work hard to enable us deliver dividends of democracy especially in this last tenure of my administration. I want to also remind you that anybody found wanting in discharge of his duties will be shown the way out.”
