Gboyega Isiaka Emerges PDP Governorship Candidate in Ogun State
Despite an order by the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party )PDP), cancelling the governorship primaries in Ogun State, delegates from the state have elected Gboyega Isiaka as its governorship candidate for the 2015 general elections.
Isiaka, who recently defected to the party from the Labour Party, LP, defeated his major opponent, Kayode Amusan.
He scored 705 votes against Mr. Amusan’s who scored 150 votes.
It is yet to be seen how the NWC of the party will react to the outcome of the election which it said did not approve continue as held.
Abusidiqu had earlier reported that many of the party stakeholders who are dekegates at the primaries were absent from the venue of the voting exercise.
