Former Reps Member Shuns Gov Dakingari’s Appointment, Joins APC
Former House of Representatives member representing Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza federal constituencies, Hon. Abdullahi Umar Faruk Muslim, has rejected the offer of Governor Saidu Dakingari to serve in his cabinet as a special adviser.
Disclosing this to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi in a press statement he read on behalf of Hon. Muslim, Alhaji Abdulaziz Bandado, the chairman of APC, Birnin Kebbi local government said, “Governor Saidu Dakingari of Kebbi State had appointed Hon. Abdullahi Muslim as special adviser to the governor and presented his name along with others to Kebbi State House of Assembly for approval.”
“Inasmuch as he (Abdullahi Muslim) would wish to serve his people in any capacity, not to talk of the highly exalted position of a special adviser, he regrets to turn down this unsolicited offer for now, preferring it to be routed through his political party first .”
The statement also added that Hon. Muslim would be indisposed to screening by the state House of Assembly under the circumstances.
It would be recalled that the former house member, who is a popular politician in Kebbi State, dumped the PDP to join the APC early this year and declared his intention to run for a seat in the National Assembly in the 2015 elections, on the platform of APC.
