Report reaching Abusidiqu indicates that the former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi has joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Though it was speculated long ago that Mr Obi would soon join the PDP, giving his romance with the Party and President Goodluck Jonathan, he finally decided to join the party after a long meeting with top echelon of the party at his home in Onitsha.
As a pointer to his defection from the All progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the party under which he served as governor of Anambra State for eight year, he resigned a the party leader and Chairman of the Board of Trustees in August.

Since his reignation from the two positions, he has been seen in various programmes organised by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), especially at the national level.
