Five-Man Armed Gang Kidnap Four Foreign Missionaries In Delta

A  a five-man armed gang, on Monday, stormed Enukorowa creek community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, and kidnapped four foreign missionaries.

The missionaries are Dr. David Donavan, Chilly Donavan, Alana, and Tyan. They were said to engaged in preaching, and giving free medical treatment in the area in the last three years.

Confirming the incident to pressmen in Asaba, capital of Delta State, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim, assured residents that an anti-kidnapping team was already on the trail of the suspects.

The police commissioner added that the kidnap may not be unconnected with the current onslaught on militant activities embarked upon by the military in their “Operation Crocodile Smile”, saying that efforts were being made in conjunction with the Joint Taskforce (JTF) towards rescuing the victims.
