FG’s Plan To Rig Ekiti Election Will Not Work, Says Fayose’s Deputy
The Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, has said that the Federal Government’s plan to rig the Ekiti governorship election in favour of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), will not work.
Olusola said this in Ikere Ekiti yesterday during a rally organised by the youths to bolster his political aspiration.
The deputy governor is also the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the 2018 governorship election.
According to him, the people’s power is mightier than the federal might in any democratic setting.
He described his candidacy as God-ordained and urged his kinsmen from Ikere Ekiti to see the governorship project as ‘Ikere agenda’ that must be supported by the indigenes, regardless of political inclinations.
Olusola urged the indigenes of the town to participate in the ongoing continuous voter registration exercise with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to shore up the voting strength of the town ahead of the poll.
