FG Confirms Death Of Two Nigerians In South Africa
The federal government has confirmed the death of two of its citizens in two unrelated incidents in South Africa.
In a statement by the Spokesperson in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Tope Elias-Fatile, the federal government assured the people that the Consulate-General of Nigeria in Johannesburg has been following Police investigations on the sad development.
“In this connection, the Mission informs that the first incident involved an indigene of Anambra State, Mr. Ikechukwu Mmanwoke Edmond who was murdered in front of his home in Marvern, a suburb of Johannesburg”.
The second incident involved Mr. Eluka Agu who was beaten to death during a robbery alongside some unidentified persons in Olievenhoutbosch, Centurion, near Pretoria,” the statement stated.
It also revealed that investigations by the South African Police has commenced on the unfortunate incidents in South Africa.
