FG Approves N33bn Contract For Bida-Lapai Road
The Federal Executive Council has approved a contract for the re-construction of Bidda-Lapai road in Niger State Central Nigeria.
Minister of State for Power, Works and Housing, Mustapha Maishehuri announced this to State House Correspondents soon after Wednesday’s cabinet meeting, which was presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
He said the contract is worth thirty three billion naira and when completed, the road will serve as a major link between the South-West and Northern Nigeria.
“The Ministry of Power Works and Housing presented a memo to Council on the re-construction of Bida-Lapai-Lambala road in Niger State, which is about 123.9 kilometres at the cost of N33 billion. This is the second road that connects the South-West to the North so it is a very important road and the Council graciously approved the award of its contract,” he said.
