Fear Grips Kano Residents as Second Explosion Hits City
The people of the ancient city of Kano are currently under a state of fear and panic as another explosion, the second in the same day Muslims faithful are celebrating the annual eid-el-fitr marking the end of the Ramadan season.
The first explosion targeted at kerosene buyers in an NNPC mega station killed four persons and injured eight others.
Five hours after the suicide blast at the filling station, the second blast occurred close to Buhari Square adjacent to Shoprite shopping mall in Kano killing the bomber and injuring six other persons.

The Nigeria Police say a second explosion has rocked the ancient city of Kano.
The Police PRO in the state, ASP Musa Majai who confirmed the bombing said the area has been cordoned off security agents in the city.
The spate of bombings in the city is coming less than 24 hours after a Church, Mosque and the Northwest University in the city became the target of the insurgents. At least six people were confirmed dead in the Sunday blast preceding the blast being witnessed on Monday.
