Fayemi, Fayose Attends Oni’s ThanksGiving Service, Shake Hands in Public [Photos]
The political difference between the governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and his predecessor, Kayode Fayemi, was temporarily suspended yesterday when both men met at the 60th birthday and thanksgiving service of another former governor, Segun Oni, which held at the Methodist Church, Ifaki, Ekiti.
Both men, who sat together smiled as they exchanged pleasantries during the ceremony, putting aside their political differences.
Also present at the occasion was former Governor Adeniyi Adebayo.
Speaking at the event, the celebrant, former governor Segun Oni thanked Governor Ayodele Fayose for restoring his privileges as a former governor of the state, describing him as a brother.
He debunked insinuations that there was political motive behind the gesture.
Oni buttressed the position of the national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Odigie-Oyegun, who said 2015 was God’s appointed time for the opposition party to take over from the PDP.
According to Oni, “It is very clear anywhere in Niigeria that the APC is the government in waiting. The APC would win hands down. I believe this is the ordination of God.”
