EXPOSED: Reason Why NANS President Is At Loggerhead With Governor Fayemi [SEE Document]
By Dimeji Daniels, Ado-Ekiti and Abubakar Usman.
Few days ago, the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Yinka Gbadebo released a statement asking “Amnesty International, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and civil societies in the country to rise into the defense of the people of Ekiti State before the State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi destroy, ruin and tangle them with his inordinate second term’s ambition.”
According to Gbadebo, Governor Fayemi in the pursuit of his second ambition has become which has become tyrannical, despotic and irresponsible such that over five indigenes of the state have been killed in the last two years and many others injured.

However, recent revelation has shown that the NANS President was attacking the governor because he declined the offer of the student union leader to offer him an award as the Most Outstanding Governor of the Year in November.
On 4th October, 2013 (this year), the self-acclaimed President of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Yinka Gbadebo sent a letter to the Office of the Governor, Ekiti State asking Governor Kayode Fayemi to accept one frivolous award tagged ‘Nigeria Outstanding Leadership Award’.
In response, Mr. Governor directed that the offer be declined as shown in the attached letter here. Yinka Gbadebo must have been angered for him to have turned around few days later to vilify the same man he wanted to ‘honour’.
What is surprising with Mr Gbadebo’s attack on the governor is that the same governor he described as being tyrannical, despotic and irresponsible a few days ago is the same man he and his union resolved to honour for his unprecedented achivement in Ekiti state.
Should Mr. Governor have accepted that Most Outstanding Leader of the Year award, Gbadebo would sure be singing his praises to high heaven.
The same Gbadebo was said to have gone to see the Chief of Staff to Governor Fayemi, Mr. Yemi Daramodu, asking that a guy by the alias ‘Democracy’ be named the Special Assistant on Students’ Affairs to the governor. Mr. Governor’s refusal again angered Gbadebo, the shameless NANS President who must have found a customer in the Bibiire crooner, going by the tone of the puerile press statement he issued last week.
