EXPOSED: Nigeria Military Lied; Aircraft ‘Friendly Fire’ Killed Colonel Chamba, Not Boko Haram
- Nigerian Military Aircraft ‘Friendly Fire’ Killed Colonel At Damboa, Not Boko Haram
- Citizens cite several more instances where military jets killed soldiers and civilian-JTF
Few days ago, some insurgents of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group stormed military bases and police locations in Damboa, Borno State, leaving scores of people dead.
The Defence Headquarters in its bid to keep the public abreast of its activities in the fight against the insurgents group released a statement claiming that 53 members of the sect were killed.
The Director of Defence Information, Major-General Chris Olukolade, in a statement, said the military lost five soldiers and a senior officer during the confrontation.
Though, he failed to name any of the soldiers and the officers, it was to be revealed later that the gallant soldier who lost his life during the bloody Damboa attack with the insurgents is Col Abubakar Chamba
According to the source who revealed the identity of the officer, Colonel Abubakar Chamba, was the Commanding Officer of 101 Reserve Battalion, Damboa, Borno State.
But while the news of the identification of Chamba is yet to fully settle, it was discovered that contrary to the claims of the Nigerian Military, the late army colonel was killed in that attack by bombs from a Nigerian air force jet and not by the Boko Haram terrorists.
According to NewsRescue, when the Boko Haram insurgents invaded Damboa, Civilian JTF and military men surrounded the terrorists and then called on the air force for aerial support. When the Nigerian jets arrived, rather than bomb the terrorists’ position, they bombed and killed Colonel Abubakar Chamba.
After this incident, Nigerian military men were afraid and fled Damboa, scared of not only Boko Haram, but sabotaged members of the very army they were part of.
According to further reliable details, such friendly fire is just one out of several sabotage within the military in recent months and weeks.
Three weeks ago, a reported terrorist attack at Bulabulin Ngaura in Damboa local government in which men of the Nigerian military lost their lives; the truth of this attack as detailed by soldiers who escaped alive, some who are now in hiding for fear of the crazy situation, is that it was fellow men of the Nigerian army that carried out the Bulabulin Ngaura attack on service men.
This continues a trend exposed by other foreign media and by visiting US agents.
We are unable to figure out how high up it is in the command chain – military, the office of national security and executive government, that this sabotage is being orchestrated. There is also no evidence of what concrete actions if any the Goodluck government has taken against these several disturbing reports of deadly treachery to military men and the communities of the northeast.
