EXPLOSION ROCKS JALINGO
Barely 24 hours after explosion and gunshots rocked the old campus of Bayero University, Kano, another explosion has been reported in Jalingo, Taraba state capital.
Reports reaching us say an explosion has gone off in Jalingo, the Taraba State Capital. According to reports, the explosion occurred as civil servants resume work for the week, leaving a part of the state’s ministry of finance been blown apart.
Casualty figure and extent of destruction at this time of this report cannot be independently verified, some sources said about 10 people comprised of a dispatch rider and nine others including the suicide bomber are among the dead.
The source said the bodies have been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo.
Meanwhile, the Police in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, have found an unexploded bomb in a car parked near a magistrate court by the police roundabout in the town. Operatives have cordoned off the area and the explosives have been defused.
