Experts Call For Deployment Of Technology In Healthcare Service
Experts in the medical profession in Nigeria have gathered in Abuja to discuss ways to embrace to improve healthcare delivery in the country.
The one-day discussion forum which held at the Civic Innovation Lab, and organized by Health Innovation Hub, identified possible innovations to strengthen the healthcare industry and improve medical tourism in Nigeria.
Dr. Kunle Kakanfo, the Co-Founder of Health Innovation Hub Nigeria, stated that delivery in the healthcare industry can be more efficient, accessible and affordable if technology is deployed and infused into government policies.
Other participants who gathered at the event argued that it is time government invests more in health technology especially as we are in an era where patients are digitally empowered.
In related development, Special Assistant to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), on Innovation and Entrepreneur, Mr. Ife Adebayo, has been honoured with merit award by the Health Innovation Hub Nigeria.
The award was in recognition of Mr. Adebayo’s strides towards innovation for Healthcare in Nigeria through the health innovation thought leadership conversation series.
Other notable guests at the workshop include Dr. Ifeanyi Nsofor, Dr. Henri Onyemachi, Dr Dirisu Osasuyi, and among others.
