The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Umar Faruk Umar has urged Nigerians to continue to support the President Buhari-led administration to reposition critical sectors of the economy.
Alhaji Faruk Umar made the call in Daura during this year’s ‘Sallar-Gani’ Durbar which is an age-old festival in Daura Emirate.
The Emir observed that the Buhari-led administration has carried out several roads and rail projects across the country which would be a key driver of socio-economic development and growth.
The Emir urged President Buhari to sustain the tempo while thanking Nigerians for their consistent support to the President since his administration came on board.
Meanwhile, the Emir of Daura used the occasion to turban Alhaji Yakubu Gobir as the ‘Wazirin Hausa’ the second most prominent honorary title in Hausa-land.
He said as the cradle of Hausa civilization, Daura Emirate reserves the right to confer traditional Hausa titles on Nigerians that have distinguished themselves in selfless service to the nation.
