Ex Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Abiodun Aluko, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are bad options for the state in the 2018 governorship election.
Aluko said this on Monday, while addressing journalists in Ado Ekiti on his governorship ambition in the Mega Party of Nigeria.
Aluko, who recently defected from the PDP, said he avoided the APC because it “will be like moving from fry pan to fire.
“The only opportunity APC had to rule the state left sour taste in the mouth of the people. The party is already overcrowded; Ekiti people are not ready for APC for now.
“We are trying to savage PDP from collapsing but since the helmsman believes he wants to sink with PDP in Ekiti, I have no reason than to leave. I can’t be in a party that has no respect for the constitution. I’m not one who will see the truth and won’t be able to say it. “People are now talking about the third option, Mega party represents that. I never thought of APC as an option. I have all it takes to turn the fortunes of Ekiti state around. I have the competence and efficiency much better than what we are witnessing presently since 1999.”
