Ejiogu Tasks APC Leaders on Unity, Hard-Work
The Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Special Duties in Imo State, Sir Jude Ejiogu has enjoined Owerri zonal working committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to make unity and hard-work their watchword stressing that any attempt to split the house into many factions would make it incapable to withstand external attack.
Sir Ejiogu made this appeal while addressing leaders of APC in Owerri zone who paid him a courtesy call in his office.
He therefore admonished all members of APC in Owerri zone to work assiduously in ensuring the success of the party while expressing optimism that the quest of hunger for victory by members of the party in the zone was an indication that APC is battle ready to win 2015 elections in the state and urged them to sustain the tempo.
The Chief of Staff while hinting further reminded members of the party to form an alliance that would stand the test of time and as well be prepared to fight a combat and described APC as most hunted party in the state.
He therefore urged them to shun anything capable of factionalizing the party but instead, work towards engendering unity, cooperation and success even while warning them not to compromise with self-seeking politicians who would like to use them for personal reasons.
According to Sir Ejiogu, no member or aspirant under the party should form any structure on an already established structure stressing that Governor Rochas Okorocha’s giant strides in three years have distinguished and made him acceptable to the people of the state.
In his speech, the Owerri zonal APC chairman, Hon. Chris Ogoma commended Sir Ejiogu’s call for unity and cooperation among members of the party in the zone and beyond and described the gesture as evidence of a good leader.
He therefore maintained that as leaders of the party in Owerri zone, they would not leave any stone unturned in sensitizing the people and as well, ensure that it permeates into the grass root.
The Owerri APC zonal boss therefore assured of their readiness to work as one entity in ensuring the success of the party even while disclosing their preparedness to organize rallies and conferences that would earn the zone victory in the 2015 general elections in the state.
In their separate speeches, the zonal youth leader, Canice Amadi, Zonal rally committee Chairman, Barr Blessing and the Ikeduru LGA APC Chairman, Mr. Shadiv respectively expressed happiness on the level of commitment of Sir Ejiogu in uplifting the well being of their people and called on other leaders in the zone to emulate him.
