DSS Releases Ex-CSO To Former President Jonathan Detained Since Thursday
After spending five days in the detention of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian secret police has finaly released a former Chief Security Officer to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
Obuah was arrested and detained since Thursday last week. Although the DSS did not make the purpose of his arrest known, sources said he was arrested on the alleged movement of large sums of “security money” in the last administration as well as oil theft in the Niger Delta.
A family source saids that Mr. Obuah was released by his former employers around 10:30 pm Nigerian time.
Earlier today, Mr. Obeah was presented to the public to douse rumours that he had died in detention. After declaring that he was “hale and hearty,”, Mr. Obeah thanked his friends, family and lawyers, before leaving the press conference.
