DON JAZZY LAUNCHES NEW RECORD LABEL, SIGNS TIWA SAVAGE
Multiple award winning producer, Don Jazzy has announced the launch of his new record label, Mavin Records with Wande Coal, D’Prince, Dr.Sid and Tiwa Savage among the roll call of stars in the new label. Vocally talented Tiwa Savage emerged the new label’s first female artist, which is an indication that many more exciting faces will be activated by the label in the nearest future.
Announcing the launch of the label on twitter a few hours ago, Don Jazzy said “I see Mavin Records being the power house of Music in Africa in the shortest possible time. I know Rome wasn’t built in a day but with a lot of hard work, a good and God fearing team, our friends and fans, TV houses, radio stations, press, bloggers and most of all with God on our side, there is nothing we cannot achieve.”
“I know that there are questions unanswered, mysteries unsolved and wounds to heal,” the producer said. “But I would really appreciate if we allow time to heal the wounds for us all instead of digging them up again.”
Don Jazzy expressed his love and respect for the press and bloggers and believe they will play a major role in healing our wounds and allow the forward movement.
“I would love to thank everyone that contributed in making Mohits records as successful as it got. We wouldn’t have done it without you all. The love and support you have given us thus far is definitely not in vain. You all helped create international superstars and none of us will let you down.”
While urging fans to open up their hearts and lend their ears to the new record label, the ace producer promises an exciting journey into the future as he revealed that other Mavins (artist on the label) would be unveiled soon.
“We have some other Mavins that are not activated yet still under construction that I’m positive you are going to love.”
It will be recalled that Don Jazzy, the CEO of the defunct Mo ’Hits record had parted ways with Co-founder, D’Banj in an agreed dissolution which later became a public mess. Several stories had milled about relations between the pair but Don Jazzy revealed that his eyes are focused firmly on the future.
Meanwhile a compilation album titled Solar Plexus, produced by Don Jazzy and featuring Wande Coal, Dr Sid, D’Prince and Tiwa Savage will be released tomorrow May 8th.
The founder and CEO of the new label is said to have spent the last three weeks locked in the recording studio along with the fellow “Mavins” as they finalise plans for the debut of the album. Solar Plexus will exclusively showcase the musical talents of the Mavin Records crew, while work is also at various stages for all the individual solo albums with release dates to be announced soon.
