Details Of Jonathan’s Discussion With Buhari At A Private Meeting In Aso Rock Revealed
Outgoing President Goodluck Jonathan and incoming president General Miuhammadu Buhari Wednesday night held a private meeting at the presidential villa in Abuja.
Yesterday’s meeting was the third time the two leaders would be meeting after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Buhari winner of the March 28 presidential election.
Although journalists where not allowed access to the meeting and no statement was issued by any of the parties at the end of the 30 meeting conversation that started at about 9pm, sources privy to the meeting said the discussion centred around the lack of progress in the transition programs of the transition committees set up by the two men.
Recall that the APC has for the second time yesterday complained that it has not been receiving cooperation from the Federal Government as relevant materials and responses were not being given.
The party said the handover note from the FG side has not been presented to the transition committee from the Buhari side, three weeks to handover.
It was also learnt that President Jonathan and President-elect Buhari also had discussions on the direction the inauguration will take on May 29 when Pres. Jonathan officially hands over to Buhari.
