Court Remands Man In Prison For Allegedly Killing Uncle

A Kaduna State magistrate’s court presided over by Hajiya Falila Dikko, has remanded one Murtala Abdullahi, in the Katsina Prison till February 26, 2018 for allegedly murdering his uncle, Ahmed Umar, 50, while the victim was asleep.

The incident was said to have happened on December 8, 2017.

Both Abdullahi and the uncle were reported to have slept in the same room when the  accused suddenly woke up in the middle of the night and allegedly stabbed the deceased with a knife.

The police said the accused did not give any reason for his action, adding that Umar died before any help could reach him.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Sani Ado, told the court that investigation was still ongoing and prayed for an adjournment.

The court adjourned the matter till February 26, next year.
